Part psychological thriller, part crime story Gr:easter opens with the protagonist being summoned to a meeting for which there are no excuses for not attending: there is an obligation which must be fulfilled! The journey begins as a relatively straight forward narration of travel back to his home town and formative milieu and yet there are multiple layers in which themes such as resurrection, honor and duty are explored. Gr:easter has a thick skin of gritty toughness and a threatening of mishap and violence, but in the end it's a tale of honor amongst scoundrels reminiscent of Burroughs, McCarthy and Bukowski where the unrelenting hallucinogenic lyricism questions whether the protagonist is depicting real events or filtering them through his own crazy world view in which every saint is a sinner and all men are damned.
